The cause of the disease includes some types of human papilloma virus. The disease is characterized by a long period of development from the preclinical to the clinical stage (on average 7-15 years), the regeneration of epithelial cells at this time. The preclinical stage is precisely the period of precancerous changes.<br><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"who-we-container\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><em>If all women were examined in time by means of the liquid based cytology method, then cervical cancer might not be present! \u2014 Nina Tkachuk, oncogynecologist of MDC \u201cMed-Atlant\u201d. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"who-we-container\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>The disease is characterized by the absence of symptoms at the early stages, and it is liquid based cytology that allows to detect changes that have already begun, even if they cannot be detected in any other way. This test can be taken at MDC \u201cMed-Atlant\u201d in Ivano-Frankivsk. Early diagnosis ensures gentle treatment for a woman\u2019s health, avoidance of severe emotional stress, significant financial costs and inevitable changes in the body, which, unfortunately, occur at the late stages of the disease.  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\r\n<section id=\"diagnoz-block-6a8cba58bc406\" style=\"padding-top:0;padding-bottom:0\" class=\"single-backgound3 align wp-block-acf-diagnoz-accordtion\">\r\n\t\r\n\t<div class=\"who-we-container mar-160\">\r\n\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"who-we-title\">PREVENTION OF CERVICAL CANCER \u2014 WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CONVENTIONAL AND LIQUID-BASED CYTOLOGY?<\/h2>\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"content-text\">When examining, a <a href=\"https:\/\/med-atlant.dev.komanda.dev\/en\/mu-likyemo\/ginekologiya\">gynecologist<\/a> takes a smear for cytology using the conventional method. The smear is applied to glass, fixed, dried, and then examined by a <a href=\"https:\/\/med-atlant.dev.komanda.dev\/diagnostyka\/citolog\">cytologist<\/a>. The obtained results are useful, but less informative.   <br><br> In liquid-based cytology, the same material from the smear is transferred to a preservation solution (thus keeping the cells in their natural state) and examined in the laboratory. The PAP-test is conducted using the SurePath BD technology, an automated method recommended by the FDA (USA) and CE protocols. Research results for cervical cancer screening are much more accurate and informative. CYTOLOGY<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\r\n<section style=\"padding-top:0;padding-bottom:0\" class=\"single-backgound2 align wp-block-acf-symptom\" >\r\n\t\r\n\t<div class=\"who-we-container mar-160\">\r\n\t\t<div class=\"symptom-container\">\r\n\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"doctor-container-item\">\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"symptom-title\">PREPARATION FOR THE TEST:<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"doctor-container-item\">\r\n\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"special-list2 special-list3\">The recommended period for taking the material is 8-20 days of the menstrual cycle;<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"special-list2 special-list3\">Two days before the time appointed for the procedure, it is forbidden to use any vaginal products or have sexual contact;<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"special-list2 special-list3\">Collection of the material is conducted no less than a day after the gynecologist\u2019s examination and colposcopy;<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"special-list2 special-list3\">Women who gave birth can do the test no earlier than 5-6 weeks after childbirth.<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\r\n\n\n\r\n<section class=\"custom_classes align wp-block-acf-spacer\" >\r\n\t<\/section>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"who-we-container spacer\">\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"spacer\" style=\"--spacer-desktop: 80px; --spacer-mobile: 60px;\">\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\n\n<div class=\"who-we-container\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The procedure is painless, slight discomfort is possible. The gynecologist takes the cells for examination with a special soft brush. After that, the obtained material is transferred to a special container with a solution and sent for examination.  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"who-we-container\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For prevention, the recommended frequency of taking the test is once a year. Liquid-based cytology is recommended by gynecologists to prevent serious pathological changes. <br><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"who-we-container\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Results of PAP-test by means of liquid-based cytology method and further actions<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"who-we-container\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The results of the PAP-test are classified according to the international terminology for the classification of cytological tests called the Bethesda System.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\r\n<section style=\"padding-top:0;padding-bottom:0\" class=\"single-backgound2 align wp-block-acf-symptom\" >\r\n\t\r\n\t<div class=\"who-we-container mar-160\">\r\n\t\t<div class=\"symptom-container\">\r\n\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"doctor-container-item\">\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"symptom-title\">CHANGES IN THE SQUAMOUS EPITHELIUM:<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"doctor-container-item\">\r\n\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"special-list2 special-list3\">NILM &#8211; negative results, normal state of the epithelium, i.e., the cytogram is within normal limits.<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"special-list2 special-list3\">ASC-US &#8211; there are atypical cells with undistinctive features.
