VISIT TO THE GYNECOLOGIST AT MED-ATLANT IN IVANO-FRANKIVSK

The recommended frequency of preventive examinations by a gynecologist:

• Once a year, patients who have no complaints, normal smears for discharge and cytology, and no pathology on ultrasound examination are examined. Also, menopausal women are examined once a year, also in the absence of complaints.
• Once every 6 months, screening is recommended for those women who have a positive result for human papillomavirus (HPV) screening. This is necessary for quality monitoring and, if necessary, timely taking of additional measures to avoid serious health problems.
• A different frequency of examinations may be recommended by the attending gynecologist depending on individual factors.

Sometimes women avoid preventive examinations because they are afraid of hearing something bad. However, believe me, there are much more chances to hear the wonderful words “everything is fine” and leave in high spirits. If a high-quality diagnosis of gynecological diseases is carried out during prevention and a problem is detected, then there is a much greater chance that this is the initial stage, which means easier treatment. Of course, not everything is within our control, but together we can make every effort for your health!
