In countries where national programs to reduce mortality from cardiovascular disease have been developed and are in place, the situation has improved significantly. Make an appointment with a doctor at a convenient and free time. Before the scheduled visit, make an electrocardiogram (ECG) in building 1 or building 2 – just come half an hour before the scheduled consultation and tell the receptionist that you want to make an ECG, you will be directed to the right room.
During the consultation, the cardiologist of the Med-Atlant Diagnostic and Treatment Center will conduct echocardioscopy (another name is ultrasound of the heart) or refer to it, measure blood pressure, ask questions to collect anamnesis. Together with the ECG data, the doctor will receive preliminary information.
Further, depending on the situation, additional tests and examinations may be prescribed individually – a complete blood count, a general urinalysis, blood sugar, as well as a lipid profile and a biochemical blood test. In some cases, rarely, but if there is a real need, a consultation with related specialists is prescribed, since the organs and systems of our body are interconnected.
After prescribing treatment and providing lifestyle recommendations, the doctor will advise you on the desired date for a second consultation, usually in 4-10 days. This is necessary to check your health status after treatment, for possible correction. Even if you feel better immediately after starting treatment, come back for a second visit to get an objective picture for yourself.

The cardiologist takes anamnesis, measures blood pressure, pulse, examines the ECG and ultrasound of the heart, and the available laboratory data. Based on the information gathered, he or she makes recommendations, prescribes treatment or refers for additional examinations.
– Electrocardiogram – we recommend making it immediately before the appointment and bringing it with you.
– Data on blood pressure measurements at home with a blood pressure monitor (if you practice this).
– Results of laboratory tests, if available (lipid profile, blood glucose level, etc.).
– The result of the heart echo.
– Also, if available, take the results of other examinations and extracts.
– Think carefully about or write down all the symptoms that bother you so that you don’t forget to say anything at the appointment.
– Prepare possible questions for the cardiologist.
– Put all available test results in one folder or file and take them with you.
– In the absence of complaints, for prevention, once every 1-1.5 years.
– In case of heart rhythm disorders, high blood pressure and other complaints, do not hesitate and make an appointment with a cardiologist as soon as possible.
A couple of days before the consultation, limit intense physical activity (light physical activity is allowed). We recommend that you minimize or completely eliminate alcohol consumption.
