How does a visit to a proctologist work?

For the examination, the patient will be asked to lie down in an examination chair, which is similar to a gynecological one. Before that, you can put on disposable proctology shorts that will cover your genitals to make you feel as comfortable as possible. The patient lies down on the back, legs are placed on footrests with soft knee pads. Only a doctor and a doctor’s assistant are present during the examination.

The rectal examination itself is delicate and painless.
